Particleworks is a CAE software for the simulation of liquid flows based on the Moving Particle Simulation method (MPS).
The MPS solves the Navier-Stokes equations with a deterministic Lagrangian Method.
In Particleworks the fluid is discretized by particles and there is no need for a computational grid. The meshless nature and the intuitive interfaces make the simulation process simple and fast, even for complex geometries with moving parts.
Particleworks is widely used in different industrial sectors, from automotive and aerospace to consumer goods, from power generation to the Food & Beverage industry.
Registration
The training is free of charge, with a limited number of participants to guarantee the quality of the training: you can register by clicking on the register button in this page.
The training sessions will be live using the GoToMeeting platform, that does not require any local installation.
The registrants will be contacted one week before the training to install the Particleworks software on their hardware for the hands-on sessions and to get the instructions to connect to the GoToMeeting platform.
Trial license
After the training the trainees will receive a 4-week trial license of the Particleworks software on their hardware.
During the trial period, Powersys and EnginSoft will support the trainees by weekly web-meetings for Q&A and to discuss specific applications.
Instructors
Michele Merelli
Michele Merelli is a Project Engineer in Enginsoft Italy and Pre-Post Sale Manager for Particleworks Europe, a Joint Venture between Enginsoft Italy and Prometech Software, the developers of Particleworks. He joined Enginsoft after the Bachelor Degree at Milan, Italy, and a Master Degree obtained in Groningen, The Netherlands. His technical expertise spans e-motors cooling, piston cooling and gearbox lubrication. He also studied consumer products and non-Newtonian fluids systems. Alongside the engineering studies and services, he organized more than 20 Particleworks training sessions and supported different customers both online and travelling on-site all across Europe.
Didier Zefack
Didier ZEFACK has more than 7 years of experiences as JMAG Simulation & Support Engineer at POWERSYS Solutions. He supported many companies and universities on different simulation projects. He received two Professional master’s degrees, first, in Computational Engineering for FEA simulations of phenomena governed by the fluid & solid mechanics. And secondly in Mechatronic for synergistic integration of mechanical engineering, electronics and intelligent computer control in design and manufacture of products and processes. In addition to JMAG, he works also on Multiphysics CFD tools to provide a complete solution for electric motor design and optimization.
